Miracles do happen!
The Holiday season is definitely the time to give and receive blessings. But for this mother from the Philippines, the best blessing she received this holiday season was this little miracle.
A woman from Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija was rushed to a hospital after being in labor since the previous day. Hospital staff were shocked to discover that the baby’s head was already halfway out, and has been stuck in his mother’s vaginal opening for quite some time already.
After the baby was successfully delivered, the medical team yet faced another problem: the baby was unresponsive. The baby didn’t cry and seemed to have a hard time breathing. The mother was crying as she realized something was terribly wrong with the baby.
The doctor in charge, Marie Jo urged the mother not to cry, but pray instead. For a few minutes the doctor and her team, Minerva and Carol worked hard in trying to save the baby.
They didn’t cut the umbilical cord while trying to resuscitate the baby, as it was this baby’s only means of oxygenated blood through its mother. He was not crying therefore unable to effectively oxygenate his blood himself.
A few minutes later, the baby let out a small cry, giving the team hope. They worked harder and was able to resuscitate the baby just in time. watch the incredible video below:
